The AGM and 21st Management Committee Election were successfully organized on 29th June 2008 with 68 Ordinary and Associate Members presented. The New Appointment Meeting was held on 15th July.

 
3rd World Traditional Wushu Championships
The 3rd World Traditional Wushu Championships will be held from October 28 to November 2, 2008 in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, China.

The 7th Asian Wushu Championship was held on 13 to 15 May 2008 in Macau.

 
14th Ngee Ann City National Lion Dance Championship 2008 (Zonal Competition) Registration is now open!
14th Ngee Ann City National Lion Dance Championship 2008 (Zonal Competition) will begin in July. Competition events include Southern Lion Free Style Routines, Southern Lion Traditional and Northern Lion Open.

Results of Athletes Selection for National Youth Wushu Team (20th April 2008)
The following Primary School athletes are selected for the National Wushu Youth Athletes after going through the selection trail on the 20 April 2008. 13 out of 58 athletes were selected. The attached is the name and result of athletes.

 
“Loyang Tua Pek Kong Cup” National Competitive Dragon Dance Championship 2008
“Loyang Tua Pek Kong Cup” National Competitive Dragon Dance Championship 2008 was being conducted successfully on 07 June 2008 @ Loyang Tua Pek Kong Temple. After an exciting fighting, "Jalan Besar CC Dragon & Lion Dance Group " ascends the champion throne 2008 with 9.38 points. 1st runner-up is Cheng Jing Hui Dragon & Lion Dance Association (Singapore) with 9.35 points. The 2nd runner-up goes to Wen Yang Sports Association (Singapore) with 9.26 points.

The National Inter-Secondary Schools Wushu Championship 2008 is held on the 02nd to 03rd, 07th to 09th April at Chung Cheng High School (Main School) and the final on the 15th April at Tao Payoh Sports Hall. Schedule of the competiton is now available.

 
Sanshou Friendly Competition
The Sanshou Match is scheduled on Sunday, 20 April 08, 2.00pm to 5.00pm at SNWF Training Hall. Application will be closed on Thursday, 10 April 08 before 5.00pm. Category Weighing will be held on Saturday, 19 April 08 3.00pm at SNWF.

 
The National Inter-Primary School Wushu Championship 2008 Result (Update: 7/4/2008)
The National Inter-Primary School Wushu Championship 2008 is held on the 24th to 28th,31st March at Tao Nan School and the final on the 4th April at Tao Payoh Sports Hall. Schedule of the competiton is now available.

 
2008 International Lion Dance Championship
The Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2008 International Lion Dance Championship held on the 18th January 2008 (Friday), 7.30PM at Kreta Ayer Outdoor Pavilion (behind Buddha Tooth Temple). A total of five teams from 4 countries took part in this competition. Singapore Nam Sieng Dragon & Lion Dance Activity Centre was the overall champion.

The Singapore National Wushu team has done Singapore proud in winning 1 gold and two silvers in the 24th SEA Games.

Next year plucking the green will start on Chinese New Year Eve (6th Feb 2008) till the 15th day on the lunar new year (21st Feb 2008).

 
National Luminous Dragon Dance Championship 2007 (Update: 8/1/2008)
The 2007 National Luminous Dragon Dance Competition will be held on the 30th December 2007 (Sunday), 5PM to 10.30pm, at the Toa Payoh Indoor Stadium. Total of 13 registered teams. Tickets at $12 per person.

Our team members on Radio Singapore International - Young Empire
Radio Singapore International launched a new Podcast program - "Young Empire", takes a look at Singapore young generation learning the various form of martial arts. Each issue of the program will introduce the different types of martial arts, their learning techniques, the difficulties they encountered, the young Singaporean who takes on such challenges and many other which guaranteed to arouse your interest while listening to this program!

The event, "Ngee Ann City National Sanshou Championship 2007", organized by Singapore National Wushu Federation and sponsored by Ngee Ann City, was successfully organized from 12 May to 13 May at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. The two days event attracted thousands of people to view the spectacular event.

2007 Second Asian Indoor Games will be held in Macau from 26th October 2007 to 3rd November 2007. Dragon and lion dance is one of the sports scheduled to be competed in the coming Indoor Asian.
