The biennial Eight National Wushu Display jointly organized by Singapore Wushu Dragon & Lion Dance Federation, People's Association, Singapore Sports Council and Singapore Pools (Private Limited), will be held on the September 19, 2009 (Saturday) 7:00pm at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. National Wushu & Sanshou Championship 2008 Post-event Release
National Wushu & Sanshou Championship 2008 was successfully conducted from August 11-17 @ Toa Payoh Indoor Stadium. Singapore Schools Wushu Red Team won the Overall Champion for Youth Category with 7 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze. Dewu Pugilistic Association won the Overall Champion for Open Category with 8 Gold, 5 Silver, 3 Bronze. Bishan North Community Club won the Overall Champion for Senior Category with 3 Gold, 2 Silver.

Loyang Tua Pek Kong Cup National Competitive Dragon Dance Championship 2008 was being conducted successfully on 07 June 2008 @ Loyang Tua Pek Kong Temple. After an exciting fighting, "Jalan Besar CC Dragon & Lion Dance Group " ascends the champion throne 2008 with 9.38 points. 1st runner-up is Cheng Jing Hui Dragon & Lion Dance Association (Singapore) with 9.35 points. The 2nd runner-up goes to Wen Yang Sports Association (Singapore) with 9.26 points.

2008 International Lion Dance Championship
The Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2008 International Lion Dance Championship held on the 18th January 2008 (Friday), 7.30PM at Kreta Ayer Outdoor Pavilion (behind Buddha Tooth Temple). A total of five teams from 4 countries took part in this competition. Singapore Nam Sieng Dragon & Lion Dance Activity Centre was the overall champion.
